The program of the European Capital of Culture Salzkammergut 2024 is slowly coming to an end, but DIE UNERHÖRTEN DINGE that we researched there in the summer of 2024 and presented to the public remain unheard of far and wide: during the Nazi era, there were countless - even wild - Aryanizations, of art objects, but also of completely normal everyday things. The villas of the Jewish population stood empty, the population and later the Nazi authorities helped themselves generously; very little of this was returned after the war.
